It's Census Day, the day the U.S. Census Bureau asks people to use as the guide as they fill out their 2010 census forms. After years of preparations, hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising and outreach, everyone living in the United States has until the end of the month to return the forms.
The White House this morning released the above photo of President Obama filling out his census form on Monday. The president provided information for himself, Mrs. Obama, his two daughters and his mother in law, Marian Robinson, according to the White House. (This blown up version of the photo shows that the president used the main White House telephone number -- 202-456-1111 -- for his contact information.)
"On Census Day, I urge all Americans to fulfill their civic duty by participating in the 2010 Census," Obama said in a formal proclamation of Census Day.
