First Lady Michelle Obama spoke before the National PTA in Arlington, VA today and announced a contest to come up with APPS (games)to help children learn about their fruits and vegetables in a fun way and to get them moving. The contest is part of the First Lady's campaign to end childhood obesity. There is a cash prize - with the winners sharing $40,000.
"Maybe you've seen those dance video games or those exercise games that families are playing together at home, or the ones that kids play using their mobile phones and home computers?" she said at the national Parent Teacher Association conference. "Those are the kinds of games that we're talking about."
